Dear Foundation Supporter:

Our future together begins with quality education. The Newcastle Education Foundation was formed by a group of highly motivated and passionate citizens who want to foster the vision of academic excellence in our local public schools. NEF was modeled from The Oklahoma Foundation of Excellence, founded in 1985 by David L. Boren. NEF is currently under registration as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and operates according to Oklahoma statute.

It is the intent of NEF to raise funds through corporate and private contributions as well as fund raising projects. Funds raised will be distributed mainly through the Grants for Teachers program. This program provides up to $2,000 per grant for specific school projects that are not funded by the local Board of Education. These funds will be distributed for used in the Newcastle Public School system only. As the Foundation’s endowment increases in the future NEF’s next goal is to introduce a scholarship program.
