Dear Foundation Supporter:
Quality education is key to the success of our children. Keeping up with technology and the ever changing educational platform is the challenge. The Newcastle Education Foundation was formed in July 2004 by a group of highly motivated and passionate citizens who shared the vision of meeting those challenges by fostering academic excellence in Newcastle Public Schools. NEF was modeled from The Oklahoma Foundation of Excellence, founded in 1985 by David L. Boren. NEF is registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and operates according to Oklahoma statute.

NEF Grants-to-Teachers Award Patrol:
The NEF Award Patrol surprises teachers each year with grants that will enhance their teaching and bring new excitement to the classroom. Grant applications are accepted each year from teachers and faculty at Newcastle Public Schools and, once the evaluation process is complete, Foundation leaders form the Award Patrol and inform the recipients by making surprise visits to each school. It is planned as a complete and total surprise to the teachers and the students!
